Governance
The work on sustainability, including ESG, is broadly anchored in the organization and various departments, with overall governance placed at the executive level with our Chief Legal Officer. Starting in 2024, we have also added an Environmental Coordinator to our team.
Departments are responsible for daily tasks based on the goals set in collaboration with the company’s CEO and Chief Legal Officer. These tasks often involve cross-departmental projects, requiring the participation of multiple teams to ensure that all relevant aspects are considered and thoroughly investigated before implementing any new initiatives.
Our quality management system and policies for food safety and hygiene must always be adhered to, including during the implementation of new sustainability initiatives.
While our Supplier Code of Conduct outlines the standards expected of our suppliers and value chain, we also have internal personnel policies to ensure similar standards are upheld within the organization. All new employees receive these policies through our personnel handbook and an oral introduction during onboarding. This introduction includes information about our zero-tolerance policy regarding discrimination, harassment, inappropriate behavior, corruption, bribery, and other forms of illegal or unethical practices, as well as forced labor and child labor. Employees are also introduced to our internal whistleblower system.
