Sustainability & ESG

At Fynbo Foods, sustainable development is about achieving a balance between economic growth, social cohesion, and a healthy environment. Since our founding in 2002, sustainability has been a key focus in our business foundation and strategy, and it continues to be so today. Sustainability, including ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), is integrated throughout our organization and various departments, with overall oversight at the executive level.

"To succeed in our sustainability initiatives, it's crucial that we work purposefully at all levels of the company. Additionally, it's important that the leadership takes the lead. It's the responsibility of the leadership to set ambitious and measurable goals and, most importantly, to follow through with actions."

Maria Bukdahl Rukjær, Chief Legal Officer – Compliance, ESG, and HR

Sustainability is rapidly evolving, and with the introduction of ESG regulations by the EU, there's increased momentum and focus on development.

While we are not directly subject to ESG regulations as a company, ESG remains an integral part of our sustainability efforts. We aim to set high standards and measure our initiatives. Simultaneously, we are prepared to provide the data and information needed by our customers and partners for their ESG reporting.

In addition to ESG regulations, we also align with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We have chosen five SDGs where we believe we can make the most significant contributions.
